Due to the Coronavirus pandemic we have instituted several changes to our scheduling and patient flow to assure that there is no possibility of contact between well and sick patients during their time in our office. This greatly affects our scheduling, as we now have separate hours for well visits and sick visits with absolutely no overlap and no exceptions.
Routine visits continue to be important to reduce risks associated with childhood diseases, which have not ceased during this pandemic. Routines may now ONLY be scheduled from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM daily. Additionally, the doctors are scheduling fewer patients to eliminate waiting room time, so please plan to arrive on time to help us accomplish this goal. Should your child become ill even the morning of the appointment, please call and cancel. DO NOT present to the office during the well visit times, as you will be immediately asked to leave and return during sick hours if your child is sick upon arrival. DO NOT bring sick siblings along as well, as they too, will be immediately asked to leave. No early morning walk-ins will be seen.
Sick visits will only be scheduled from 1:00 PM on at a similar reduced flow rate to minimize exposure risks. All patient care will occur in patient rooms. As the Coronavirus is essentially no more dangerous than the flu in children but life-threatening to the elderly, we encourage you to bring only the sick child; as we STRONGLY encourage individuals such as grandparents to stay at home, per CDC recommendations.
We feel strongly that these changes can allow us to provide the highest quality of care for our patients, whether they are sick or well.
